Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on 14th May 1964, to her Jewish Family. Suzy is now 58. Her mother's name is Sandra Kolber and her father is Gene Kolber. She attended Sandy Run Middle School, Dresher Pennsylvania. In 1982 she graduated from Upper Dublin High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications at the University of Miami, in 1986. When she was a freshman in college she was offered a position as a Director at Dynamic cable in Coral Gables Florida as a Sports Director. The company also hired her in the Dynamic Cable company for a period of two years, starting in 1984 to. Additionally, she was a part of the University of Miami water skiing team during this time. Plaza was a part of the Wilmington community theatre as her child. She did improv and produced one-act plays. In New York City, Plaza attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and attended improv class in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. In 2006, she graduated with a master's degree in production of television and film. She was diagnosed with aphasia around the age of 20, a problem that limits her ability to speak and understand languages.
